I'm Nicole Ramsamy, an Indigenous Nurse Practitioner and from Cape York and Torres Strait Islands. I have lived in Cairns for the past 2 years settling back and establishing NDIS business as Linkup2care and currently providing Support Coordination and Nursing Services. I'm a local and grew up in Cairns my Aboriginal heritage is from Wujal Wujal and Torres Strait Island heritage is from Boigu Island in the Torres Strait (Central Islands).
I offer a mobile, telehealth service, nursing clinical load, education to support workers and their family, monitor and caseload participants. I am a Nurse Practitioner providing a prescribing services and referral service where I collaborate with specialist Drs and departments either privately or in the public system.
Services offered: Nursing, midwifery, education, support coordination. My service has a broader scope in complex nursing cares such as diabetes, indwelling and mitrofanoff catheters, feeding tubes, colostomies and bowel care, assessments eg. continence, wound care, injections, medications, and I collaborate with the gp assist with appointments to name a few services.
I have spent the past 30 years living and working in Very Remote Aboriginal Communities in Far North Queensland.
