I'm Nicole Ramsamy, an Indigenous Nurse Practitioner and from Cape York and Torres Strait Islands. I offer a mobile, telehealth service, nursing clinical load, education to support workers and their family, monitor and caseload participants. I am a Nurse Practitioner providing a prescribing services and referral service where I collaborate with specialist Drs and departments either privately or in the public system.

My service has a broader scope in complex nursing cares such as diabetes, indwelling and mitrofanoff catheters, feeding tubes, colostomies and bowel care, assessments eg. continence, wound care, injections, medications, and I collaborate with the gp assist with appointments to name a few services.

We are an indigenous respite/STA provider for participants in the Cairns/FNQ area.

About Step Forth & Beyond:
I provide support work and outreach one on one through mentorship, providing early intervention (early signs of identified issues e.g. Noticeable changes in behavior, Anger issues, Social problems, Isolation, bullying, Having difficulties with school work, Excessive worry, Lacks motivation, Low/self-esteem, Low confidence, Missing school, Feeling sad/suicidal) services include through social and community participation, mentoring and peer support, community connection, social support, life skills development (apply work, self-independent, targeting young adults and young children who are least likely to access services but who are in the most need.
Mentoring support and outreach are conducted in “out of office settings including the streets, school grounds, homes, residential care, parks, rural and remote settings. Providing a service that meets the social, peer support through mentoring, emotional, educational, health, cultural, spiritual, and welfare needs of every young adult and/or young persons. E.g., Coping skills & Strategies, group-based activities, re-engagement back into school, basic life skills making healthy choices, confidence in expressing, attending appointments, shopping, general outings, supporting through cultural events, sports activities & physical exercise cardio/gym (optional).

I have experience working with young children with diverse needs, across a broad spectrum of different complex behavior needs and disabilities. Working interstate, and within the Cairns area.
